Greek Tonizo polytonic keyboards
The Greek Tonizo keyboard family has been implemented with the Keyman Developer tools and works on the Keyman platform - operated and supported by SIL. The Greek Tonizo keyboard functions on Windows, Linux or MacOS desktop computers, as well as on iOS or Android mobile devices. Greek Tonizo keyboards are offered free of charge.
Features common to all platforms:
Convenient positions for the extra accents - daseia, perispomeni and vareia: daseia on the left, accents on the right. Keying of accent/breathing before the vowel.
Automatic psili on words starting from α,ε,η,ι,ο,ω - Automatic daseia on words starting from υ. Undone on acronyms (Σ.τ.Ε.) and numerals (τὸ α' μέρος).
Automatic transfer of breathing/accent to the second vowel of a diphthong at the beginning of a word. Undone when dialytika set on second vowel (ἄϋλος, ἀΰλου vs. αὔλειος, αὐλείου).
Greek Tonizo for desktops (Win, Mac, Linux)
Based on the legacy keymangreek keyboard, adapted to newer versions of Win, Linux, macOS.
Greek Tonizo for mobile devices (iOS, Android)
Touch-screen keyboard specially designed for the small dimensions of mobile devices. It makes smart use of longpress keys and color codes. Extra automations also included, i.e. the automatic selection of sigma or final sigma.
